Children's slippers
Here you'll find our wide selection of soft and warm slippers for children in leather, wool, cotton and many other materials. They come in lovely designs that make it easy for your child to put them on independently. Many of our styles feature Velcro fastening across the instep, while others come in smart slip-on designs. Several models have non-slip soles and are available with both thick and thin soles. For very young children who are not yet walking, it is a good idea to choose slippers that fit snugly around the foot, either with elasticated fastening or a secure Velcro closure. A very thin sole is best at this stage, as it makes it easier for your child to crawl around while wearing them. We recommend choosing slippers with a firm sole once your child has started walking steadily. For your little baby, you may also want to consider a pair of soft booties without a sole. You can find our wide selection of booties here. When your little one starts taking their first steps, it is time to choose slippers with a proper sole. Here you'll find designs with both firm heel counters and less supportive fits. It is a good idea to find out what your child prefers to wear, otherwise they may simply keep taking them off. And when the slippers are not on their feet, they cannot keep them warm.
Lovely materials for little feet
Our slippers are available in many different materials, including leather, suede and wool. Wool, like skin and leather, is a natural material with temperature-regulating properties. It keeps feet warm while allowing them to breathe, helping to prevent sweaty feet inside the slippers. Wool is not only a great material for winter; it can also be worn in summer, as it helps release excess heat and maintain a comfortable temperature for little feet. Both wool and leather mould to your child's foot and feel comfortable to wear. You'll find lovely styles from brands such as Bisgaard and Melton, which design slippers in leather and wool respectively. Whichever material you choose, the most important thing is that the slippers stay securely on your child's feet and provide the right amount of warmth. When little Alberte is approaching her second birthday, it is also important to choose slippers she can put on herself, as many nurseries expect children of this age to start becoming more independent.
